✨My name is Iyonia Jackson. I am the proud owner of Willow J.
𝗪𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰: Many know me as Yannie, but my name was actually going to be Willow at birth. After my dad (William) told me the story of how he wanted to originally name me Willow, the name just always stuck near to me. The definition of the name is beautiful itself. When I searched it I came across explanations like “graceful appearance” “qualities seen as desired feminine attributes” the list went on. Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my name! It is so unique and beautiful, but Willow just had a ring to it.
𝐉: I remember my dad asking me to keep my last name (Jackson) because I am his only child and once I get married the Jackson name can’t be passed on. Of course I’m not going to keep it, but I may hyphen it... possibly! While I may not be able to keep my last name, when I launched my business I had our conversation in mind. I want to build up something that can be passed down. That’s what I intend to do, I pray that God blesses my endeavor as a business woman to build up something to pass on to my future kid(s).
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡: A willow tree represents strength, balance, growth and harmony. Its strong foundation allows it to stand firm and withstand the greatest challenges. That is literally the Google definition and I find it absolutely beautiful how it correlates with my life...
𝗪𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐉: The birth of Willow J, while it has been a short period of time since I’ve opened my boutique, waking up each day to work on it brings me so much joy. The amount of love and support I receive is so beautiful! With not being open a complete 2 months, I’ve sold to a total of 10 different states, connected with some amazing women and grown overall as an entrepreneur. Every single platform, animation and design is created by me, with a lot of hard work behind it! My advice is to try as many things as life presents to you, until you find that one thing you love....
